Thanks Nature Cafe Seoul

We had a bit of a walk along the shopping streets after our visit to a;t fox Cafe, passing by places like the Piano Cafe and also Mustoy, a cafe that offers the chance to decorate two main characters designed by the same artist who created Pororo, until we reach our final destination before we return to our guesthouse to collect our luggages and head over to Jeju. And this place is none other than Thanks Nature Cafe, the only cafe in Hongdae where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and some light desserts in the company of two white fluffy sheep.

This is the staircase that leads to the cafe. Don't miss it!

Thanks Nature Cafe is also known as the Sheep Cafe, and if you are wondering why it is becoming so popular lately, it is because this unique cafe is featured in lots of different foreign publications, travel guides and also on the hit TV show "We Got Married". For myself, I learnt about the cafe when my director came back from Korea in the middle of this year and shared with us how interesting the place was. She also lent Hui Mee and me a guidebook by Singapore's very own LittleMissHoo, Oppa! Take me to Korea! in which you can find out how to get to the cafe, time of the feeding sessions etc. With all these publicity at work, both locals and tourists will naturally begin flocking in, much less with the help of these cute meh-mehs!

It looks like it is smiling O.O

They are super friendly and approachable!

Sheep everywhere!

You can choose to sit outside with the sheep or in the cafe. Since they are enclosed within their pen (and bf was concerned about the smell and hygiene), we decided to have our food inside.

Quattro Waffle | KRW 12,000

The waffle was not too bad. The fruits are very fresh though I thought the whipped cream and syrup was kind of overwhelming, that they made the topping taste artificial and the entire dish extremely sweet. I would suggest you to scrap off or request to not have the additional ingredients on top of the waffle, fruits, ice-cream and chocolate sauce. I have also heard feedback that the coffee at Thanks Nature Cafe is superb, using imported coffee beans of the highest quality. You might want to give it a try when you are there!

We were quite lucky that the owner returned just before we were about to leave, so we got to interact with the sheep for a bit ^.^ They are really affectionate and will rub against their legs for attention. One of the sheep was even caught tugging and chewing a patron's necklace just so the patron will stop chatting with her friend and look at him/her lol.

Bye bye~

I will strongly recommend anyone visiting Seoul to frequent Thanks Nature Cafe (although the food and services were just passable =x) because the two sheep are just too adorable to be missed! Do note though, that the sheep will return to their Gangwon-do farm during summer so that will be the period you wish to avoid. Anyway, Korea also crazily hot during summer so don't go lah lol.
